Transaction Tracking Resolution Guide

Before you start earning MoneyBack, there are a few technical settings we advise you to check to ensure your purchases are successfully tracked through our system.

If your purchase fails to track we will have no record of it. Our partners will not pay us and we will therefore not be able to pay you. MoneyBackMadness will make every effort to chase our partners and source the untracked MoneyBack, by following the guidelines below, you will increase the liklihood that everything will go through smoothly.

Note: It may be pertinent to use a separate browser when using MoneyBackMadness. This enables you to have separate security settings as below; and cookies can be cleared without affecting other websites you may use day to day. Using a separate browser just for MoneyBackMadness is perhaps the easiest and most reliable way to ensure your purchases track successfully. We'd suggest using either Firefox or Internet Explorer as a dedicated MoneyBackMadness browser, whichever one you don't use for your day to day access for other sites.

  1. How do I enable cookies?
  2. How do I remove Tracking cookies already stored on my computer?
  3. Do you run Windows with the latest service packs and updates?
  4. Do you use parental controls within your browser?
  5. Do you use a pop-up blocker?
  6. Do you have security software / a firewall that blocks advertisements?

How to enable cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. These are used to store the fact that MoneyBackMadness referred you to the retailer and should therefore receive the commission from them, so that this can then be passed onto you. Your browser must have cookies enabled for our tracking systems to work.

How to remove Tracking cookies already stored on my computer?

Tracking your purchase back to us is done via the use of cookies. If tracking cookies already exist in your browser from other sites, then commission from your purchases may be awarded to another site, rather than to your MoneyBackMadness account. Some partners pay commission based on a per cookie basis, so when repeating purchases it is also advisable to clear your cookies.

It is advisable to clear your cookies before making purchases through MoneyBackMadness. If you do not wish to clear your cookies in order to maintain your settings from another website, we suggest using a separate browser as mentioned above.

Do you have a Firewall, or Security Software that blocks adverts?

Certain types of software are designed to protect your privacy by shielding your website usage from other 3rd party sites. Unfortunately, this can interfere with the tracking of your purchase as these 3rd party sites need to be informed of your visit via a MoneyBackMadness link. Ad and cookie blocking must therefore be disabled for tracking to work. The links listed below will provide instructions on how to disable it for Norton, Zone Alarm, McAfee and Spywareblaster. It is also advisable to double check any internet security, anti-virus or firewall software for settings that mention "blocking" beit for cookies or adverts.

Do you use parental controls within your browser?

Parental controls are built into browsers to protect users from inappropriate content. However, sometimes, they are a little keen and prevent users from accessing perfectly legitimate sites via our partner networks.

If you are having trouble accessing a retailer via a MoneyBackMadness link, it is worth trying to first disable any parental controls before clicking through to make your purchase.

Do you use a pop-up blocker?

Pop-up blockers stop websites opening extra pages. This can cause problems with certain retailers who open new pages to confirm or complete an order. Some partner sites also need pop-ups to be enabled, to refer users to the retailers website.

If when you access a retailer through MoneyBackMadness, you are being left with a blank page, or are having trouble completing an order, it is worth disabling your pop-up blocker to see if this helps.

Do you run Windows with the latest service packs and updates?

We recommend using the latest Windows service packs. These can change frequently, so make a note to check for updates every so often. Previous versions have been known to cause tracking problems.
